Bruce Levinston, DVM
Practice Owner
Dr. Bruce Levinston has always been passionate about animal care and felt drawn to the veterinary profession from a young age. He attended Ithaca College and then the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He has been a small animal veterinarian since 1989 and founded Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital in 1992. Dr. Levinston also mentors young people who are pursuing a career in the veterinary field, spends time volunteering at local animal shelters and rescues, and speaks to children about caring for animals and his experiences as a veterinarian. He strives to ensure Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital provides the best possible care using the latest techniques by attending continuing education courses and national conferences to share with his team.

When he’s not caring for or teaching about animals, Dr. Levinston enjoys spending time with his wife, Roxanne, their two sons, Max and Jack, as well as pursuing photography, boating, gardening, wine tasting, travel, and being part of his kids’ sports.
