When you bring your pet to Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital, our first priority is always the health and safety of your beloved companion. We understand the risks involved with surgery and we know how important your pet’s health and safety is to you. Our team takes every necessary precaution to keep your pet safe and comfortable during surgery including:
- Performing pre-anesthetic blood work to evaluate your pet’s health prior to being placed under anesthesia
- Providing continuous monitoring by a highly trained and professional member of our team
- Placing an IV catheter to deliver fluids and utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring equipment to monitor heart rate, respiratory rate, End-tidal carbon dioxide, blood oxygenation levels, EKG, and blood pressure & body temperature.
- Consulting with a specialist if your pet requires specialty surgeries to ensure your dog or cat receives the best possible care
