Jennifer Feeney, DVM, UW-AAB
Associate Veterinarian
Animals have always had a special place in Dr. Jennifer Feeney’s heart. She dreamed about becoming a veterinarian from a young age, and that dream came true as she proudly graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She has served in emergency and general practices as well as running a large shelter hospital, providing her with a variety of experiences and allowing her to truly connect with her patients.
Dr. Feeney has been honored to witness the beautiful bond between an owner and a beloved pet. But grew to realize that there were certain behaviors that could decrease or destroy that lovely human-animal bond, and most owners had no idea how to fix it. For the past several years. Dr. Feeney has dedicated herself to becoming a Pet Behaviorist, and graduated in June of 2023 with a Certificate of Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. Dr. Feeney’s other certifications include:
*Elite Fear Free Certified, *Feline Friendly Certified, *NAVC Human-Animal Bond Certified, *Low Stress Handling Certified and *KPA Better Vet Visits Certified.
Dr. Feeney is also proudly involved with local shelters and the care of rescue animals. She volunteers each week at Somerset Regional Animal Shelter and St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center to care for those pets waiting for their forever homes. Dr. Feeney lives here in Bridgewater with her husband, Kevin, and their two children, and shares their home with some adorable rescue pets including too-many-to-count cats, two dogs and some huge hermit crabs. She enjoys writing, Disney, yoga, baking and cake decorating.
