Dr. Johanna Frank graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 1994 before going on to conclude a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery from North Carolina State University in 1995. She returned to the Ontario Veterinary College for a  residency in small animal internal medicine, which she finished in conjunction with a Doctorate Degree of Veterinary Science (DVSc) in 1998. Dr. Frank attained board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM-small animal) in 1998 as well.

Dr. Frank is well respected in the veterinary industry, and incredibly experienced as she performs ultrasounds for over 2000 patients per year. She serves as our small animal internist and performs ultrasounds for our patients to create a more complete picture of your pet’s health. Presently, she co-authors two books on sonography: Clinical Approach to Veterinary Sonographic Pathology, Small Animals, and Exotics and The Curbside Guide to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Sonographically-Detected Disease: Canine and Feline.

Johanna and her husband, Sean Troth, a veterinary pathologist, have three amazing children, Benjamin, Jillian, and Allison. The family also cares for two Cavaliers, Miley and Moose; two cats, Bell and Rudy; Tori, a thoroughbred mare; Charlie, the leopard gecko; and a few betta fish. When she is not spending time with family or caring for animals, Johanna loves riding Tori, photography, and reading for her book club.
