M.J. Hamilton, DVM, DACVIM(O)

Dr. M.J. Hamilton is a professionally trained and board-certified oncologist who has been providing specialty care since 2011. His pursuit of the veterinary profession has taken him all over the country: attending Colorado State University to earn not only his undergraduate degree in psychology but also his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in a general practice for two years in Las Vegas before beginning his oncology residency at Michigan State University. Dr. Hamilton has since been appointed to establish several oncology departments in the northeast, participate in clinical trials, and is often asked to give lectures.

He always strives to improve the lives of pets and was inspired to bring oncology specialty care to the general practice in 2017 to better enable a continuity of care for animals and uniting veterinarians, specialists, and pet owners to collaborate and ensure the highest quality of care for their animal companions. In his free time, Dr. Hamilton enjoys hobby farming and caring for all his critters.
