Rob Rizzitano, DVM, CVA

Dr. Rizzitano is a 1990 graduate from The Ohio State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then pursued a Medicine/Surgery Internship at the prestigious Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. Upon completion of the internship, he set sail across the country to Los Angeles, CA, where he spent 29 years at a Flagship Referral Hospital. During that time, a generous client established The Robert Rizzitano Small Animal Medicine Scholarship in perpetuity at Ohio State, as well as dedicating an Internal Medicine Suite in his name. Over 15 years ago, he developed an interest in Complementary Medicine, and became Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, as well as qualified in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Never one to “Rest on his Laurels”, he decided to pursue Canine Rehabilitation Therapy which he completed in 2021. After his Father’s passing and the onset of COVID-19, he decided to “Pull Up Stakes”, and move to NJ in 2020 to be closer to his Mom. Since then, he has searched for a hospital to join where he could practice his Integrative approach to Veterinary Medicine. He has found just that here at Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital, where he plans on practicing for the remainder of his career.
