Spencer Silvers, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Spencer Silvers developed an early interest in the care of animals and their anatomy. He attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree in animal studies. He went on to attend the University of Parma in Italy and earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Dr. Silvers received his Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification in 1983 from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he pursued his post graduate studies.
Dr. Silvers served as the medical director and owner of Lexington Veterinary Group in New York City for 23 years before joining the Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital staff. He attends continuing education programs to ensure he provides pets with the best possible care through the most up to date techniques. Dr. Silvers is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. He is especially interested in internal medicine, dermatology, endocrinology, and soft-tissue surgery.
Dr. Silvers strives to remain involved with the animal community at large by providing guidance and veterinary care to non-profit organizations such as Citi Critters Inc. and the Unleashed After-School Program. When he is not caring for our patients, Dr. Silvers loves exploring parks, and caring for his family’s 3 beloved toy poodles, Mocha, Ruby and Bella, and their 3 sweet cats, Orson, Earl, and Cruise.
